There wasn’t a single soggy bottom on show as businesses at Eleven Brindleyplace supported charity by eating cake.

The World Coffee Morning event, in aid of cancer charity Macmillan, was organised by Eleven Brindleyplace, a city centre office building managed by Cube Real Estate. Its tenants raised over £200, which was doubled by Cube Real Estate to a total of £425.84.

Support for the Great Business Bake Off was supplied in the form of cakes, chocolates and pies by aspiring bakers at Capita Simmonds, Colliers, TEK Systems and independent fast food outlet Friska, which opened at Eleven Brindleyplace in February this year.

Rachel New, from the Ed and Rachel Show, was joined by colleagues from Global Radio who sieved through the bakes with the help of Eleven Brindleyplace receptionists Rebecca Khan and Louise Loughrey.

The resounding winner was Sam Rudge from TEK Systems. He was presented with a bottle of champagne for his banoffee pie.
