A recruitment agency in Birmingham is opening its first office outside the UK next month as a result of the country's vote to leave the European Union.

IDEX Consulting was founded in the city in 2006 and now also has offices in London, Manchester and Bristol.

It is due to launch a fifth operation in Dublin in order to serve global clients which it said were "reviewing their office locations across Europe and looking at new trading platforms for their European business".

IDEX said the move would enable it to use an established database of UK and European candidates who were interested in working in Ireland and advise clients on required remuneration levels and relocation support.

Chief executive Matt Green said: "Any change creates opportunity for those willing to embrace it.

"These new post-Brexit hubs are a great opportunity for mobile individuals to advance their careers and be part of exciting new start up offices."
