Birmingham diners were left happy as a pig in mud as Opus at Cornwall Street hosted the latest in its 2014 Source dinner series.

The restaurant, which was recently named the most sustainable in the West Midlands by the Sustainable Restaurant Association, invited Nick Francis from Paddock Farm in Stratford-upon-Avon to host an evening focused around his famous free-range rare breed Tamworth pork.

Ann Tonks, director at Opus at Cornwall Street, said: “Our ethos has always revolved around getting the freshest produce we possibly can and that often means sourcing from local farms and suppliers. Our Source dinner series is all about getting these suppliers closer to our customers so they can get an insight into the hard work that goes into such brilliant produce. As a first generation farmer Nick was also full of interesting stories on how he managed to set up his own farm.”
