Birmingham Law Society celebrated its annual summer event by throwing a 1920s Speakeasy party.

The event, which was held at the Botanical Gardens, was the Society’s first joint summer event with Birmingham Solicitors’ Group and Birmingham Trainee Solicitors’ Society.

More than 190 people from the region’s legal sector attended the party, which included a gourmet buffet and entertainment by a live jazz band.

Ticket sales and a raffle on the night also raised £1,700 for the Society’s nominated charities, St Basil’s, Ronald McDonald House in Birmingham and Business in the Community’s “Ready for work” Campaign.

The event was sponsored by Expert Investigations, K2 Legal Support, Millnet, Robert Walters and Wesleyan for Lawyers.
