A West Midlands manufacturer of metal structures and balconies has secured a £1 million finance deal through Barclays to purchase new premises.
Birmingham-based D Wilson Architectural Metalworks has bought the new 44,000 sq ft site in Smethwick to join its base in Winson Green.
The business manufactures metal structures for use in the construction industry and in particular the manufacture of metal and glass balconies for residential developments.
New premises will provide the business with essential assembly and storage space to fulfil its growing order book.
The company employs nearly 100 people - a figure which is set to increase in the near future and is expected to turn over more than £10 million in the current financial year.
Managing director Dean Wilson said: "The business has been enjoying a period of significant growth and, as a result, we needed to find additional premises to enable us to meet these orders.
"With Barclays help, we were able to purchase this new site in Smethwick which will stand us in good stead for the future."
Andy Perry, relationship director at Barclays Corporate in Birmingham, added: "D Wilson Architectural Metalwork is an example of a business that has maintained its core offering but has also diversified into new markets making the most of growth opportunities, the result of which has seen the rapid expansion of the business.
"The £1 million additional funding not only secured the purchase of the new site but also provided additional working capital."
