Some of the world’s most beautiful cars will be on show as tens of thousands of auto professionals head to the West Midlands for Autosport International.

Europe’s largest dedicated motorsport trade show will be held at the NEC from January 8 to 11, putting a host of high-performance vehicles on show.

Among them will be the latest supercar from Lamborghini, the Huracán, one of only 499 Ferrari 458 Speciales and the car which won 2014 FIA World Rallycross Champion Petter Solberg his title.

Autosport International will host the world launch of British manufacturer Radical Sportscars’ new flagship model, the SR8 RSX.

It marks the 25th year of the autosport extravaganza, where no less than £1.07 billion worth of new business was generated in 2013.

“We have always used Autosport International as a launchpad for our latest models, and 2015 is no different with the introduction of the SR8 RSX, our most advanced sports-racer yet,” said Roger Green, head of sales and marketing.

“We will also unveil our exciting 2015 racing championship packages at the show that include everything from the novice racer to our FIA European Masters championship – there’s no better place to do this than Europe’s most important and high-profile motorsport show, Autosport International.”

The covers will come off Radical’s most advanced, powerful and aerodynamically-developed open racing car yet on Thursday, January 8.

The Peterborough-based manufacturer was only founded in 1997 and now produces 250 vehicles each year.

The new car will be priced at £109,950 plus VAT and boasts a three-litre, V8, engine delivering 440 brake horsepower with a seven-speed gearbox.

More than 600 exhibitors from the UK’s renowned Motorsport Valley and beyond are expected to attend Autosport International to start the 2015 motorsport season.

In 2014, exhibitors were joined by 28,000 motorsport professionals from across the globe.

This year’s event will include a dedicated Low Carbon Racing and Automotive Show on January 8 and 9 and a focused Careers in Motorsport area.

Ian France, Autosport International Show Director, said: “We’re delighted to help launch a variety of new projects each and every year at Autosport International, including the unveiling of the new Radical SR8 RSX at the 2015 show.

“It looks like an incredible package and fantastic addition to the successful Radical line-up, we’re looking forward to seeing it in the flesh for the first time at the NEC in January.”

Autosport International tickets are available from £32 for adults, with children’s tickets priced from £21 and children under five years admitted for free.
