A string of free workshops tackling cash flow management, saving money on raw materials and suppliers and how to cope with redundancy is being launched to help Midland businesses weather the economic downturn.

Business Link in the West Midlands is running three programmes from January through to March at venues across the region, including Birmingham, Solihull and the Black Country.

The first series of workshops – entitled Managing Cash Flow – deals with book keeping, debt management, mediation skills, coping with creditors and balancing income and expenditure.

They take place tomorrow at the Corus Hotel, Stratford Road, Shirley, Solihull, and at Stourport Manor, Hartlebury Road, Stourport; February 3 and March 5 at the Copthorne Hotel, The Waterfront, Level Street, Brierley Hill; February 11 at Aston Villa Football Club, and February 10 and March 17 at the Bank House Hotel Golf and Country Club, Bransford, Worcester. All workshops run from 10am to 12.30pm.

All events include networking opportunities and attendees will be able to discuss their needs with a Business Link adviser.
