Key decision makers from Finland were taken on a tour of the city during a visit to Birmingham highlighting the investment opportunities the city has to offer.
The walking tour, conducted by Locate in Birmingham manager Mike Loftus, took in the city's success stories - Brindleyplace, the Bullring and the Mailbox.
The Finnish visitors, representing a wide range of industries including insurance, retail, IT and property, were keen to discuss how investment has been leveraged to regenerate and revitalise the different areas of the city.
All of the delegates are MBA students with the majority at director level, including three managing directors and at least seven of the delegates from institutions with large, pan-European real estate portfolios.
Mike Loftus said: "It is vital to raise awareness of Birmingham as an international city if we want to attract a high calibre of investment moving forward. "The Birmingham proposition was highlighted at this year's MIPIM conference and has presented a number of opportunities such as this visit.
"The Finnish visitors were extremely impressed by what the city had to offer, the scale of the developments they visited, and the drive and ambition of the city."
In addition to the West Midlands, the delegates included visits to developers and schemes in London as well as a tour of the Thames Gateway in their three-day programme.
