Midlands law firm Browne Jacobson has appointed Richard Nichol as an associate solicitor in the firm's commercial practice in Birmingham.
He joins from Wragge & Co, where he was involved in a broad spectrum of commercial and IT work, most recently for the Ministry of Defence and the Department of Health.
His arrival will boost BJ's capacity to handle the full range of intellectual property, information technology and commercial matters across the Midlands.
He will be working alongside Declan Cushley, intellectual property partner, who leads the firm's IP offering in Birmingham. Mr Cushley said: "I am delighted to be working with Richard again and look forward to replicating the previously successful relationship we have had whilst we were working at Wragges.
Richard has valuable specialist knowledge in IT, outsourcing and commercial contracts, which will add to our fast-growing commercial law service in the West Midlands."
Mr Nichol is a member of the Society for Computers and Law and has previously undertaken secondments to HSBC and BT, working on large scale IT and commercial projects.
