A Shropshire IT company is looking to carve out a series of national contracts after a period of sustained growth closer to home.

Software Sculptors, based at Oxon Business Park in Shrewsbury, specialises in customer relationship management (CRM) software for the business to business sector.

The company has a series of local and regional clients on its books all utilising the 'Flightdeck' software. The organisation has recently quadrupled its service delivery team to cater for the growing number of customers. Software Sculptors is now taking its message around the UK as it looks to develop its brand and business nationally.

It has taken a stand at the B2B Midlands exhibition at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on October 10 and 11 where Lucie Ramsell, the company's sales and marketing coordinator, hopes to land a number of new clients.

She said: "We have clients all over the country but the majority of business we do is local.

"It is time to take the Flightdeck brand of software further afield and we feel events like B2B Midlands are the perfect way to highlight its benefits to other businesses across the whole of the Midlands."

Software Sculptors has been running for five years and offering its CRM software Flightdeck since 2004.

It is said to organise contacts, manage sales leads and coordinate teamwork.

Bron Ellis, of B2B Portfolio - the company behind B2B Midlands - said: "We already have close to 100 other businesses signed up for the exhibition and we expect that to more than double between now and October.

"The reaction after last year's event was extremely positive as many companies talked of new business leads and new contracts being generated solely from B2B Midlands.

"If Software Sculptors have plans on regional and national growth they are certainly going about it the right way."

B2B Midlands is considered as the premier business event for the region and will not only host around 170 stands and 3,000 visitors, it will offer information inspiration.

Former Boomtown Rat Bob Geldof is a keynote speaker at the event as well as Richard Duvall the founder of internet bank Egg. There will also be different theatres where small and medium sized companies can gain advice on IT, sales and marketing, human resources and finance.
