Birmingham’s business community gathered for a charity spinathon in BrindleyPlace Square to help raise £1 million for the British Paralympic Association by 2013.
Sixty-four people from ten Birmingham businesses took part in the event organised by professional services company Deloitte, which runs the annual Ride Across Britain, a nine-day, 960 mile cycle between Land’s End and John O’Groats in aid of the charity.
Around 700 riders take part every year. Businesses and organisations that took part in the spinathon include BHSF, the Birmingham Community Sport Partnership, DLA Piper, Eversheds, Folkes Holdings, Grayling Public Relations and Jones Lang LaSalle.
