Every forward-looking company needs one - but they can be expensive. Now a Solihull firm claims it is making it easier and cheaper to develop a company brand.
Lo-go.co.uk is the brainchild of graphic consultant Mike Davis, who has been running a successful graphic design consultancy, Creative Input, for over 20 years. He has set up a website that provides complete corporate branding ranging from a logo through to stationery and promotional materials.
He received start-up advice from Business Link, part of Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Khawar Hussain, an enterprise adviser at the organisation, said: "The potential for this company is enormous. There is such a huge market out there for this kind of service that I have no doubt it will be a success.
"This isn't just rehashing shapes from clip-art. Logo.co.uk provides modern logos and company brandings and that will give any company a professional look."
Lo-go says it can cost thousands of pounds to come up with a re-brand, even if the end result is a slightly changed logo. But it believes the opportunity to have a new corporate look for less than £500 is bound to attract new customers.
Mike said: "The importance of your company logo and branding is vital - it is the face of your company and will sell products, convey information and present an attitude.
"That's why major companies spend so much time and money on getting them right but what we want to do is provide a creative, effective and powerful branding solution in a matter of days from a fraction of the cost big firms are spending."
He added: "It's not a unique idea but many of the existing sites out there are either American and hard to navigate or based in the UK but ultimately part of another organisation.
"Our site is simple and well designed and makes it as easy as possible for the customer. We can design a corporate image from scratch or refresh an existing one.
"Everything is done online and it will take about ten days to design a new logo and everything is bespoke. Customers simply provide as much information as they can about their businesses on the website, before choosing the package they want and paying a deposit.
"They will then receive a selection of original logo designs by email within the agreed time and after the final payment has gone through."
He added that rates start at just £99 for a new corporate image only, up to £350 for a new logo and a complete set of stationery.
The website can be found at www.lo-go.co.uk.
