Low fares airline bmibaby is to launch a new four-times-a-week service from Birmingham International Airport to Madrid.
The carrier - one of the largest in the region - yesterday said its new service will take off from December 7, bringing the total number of destinations it operates from Birmingham to 22.
David Hodge, marketing director at bmibaby, said: "It's great to be able to announce another new route from Birmingham Airport with the launch of our new four times a week service to Madrid.
"Madrid is such a vibrant, cosmopolitan city that will appeal to people of all ages, whether it's a cultural weekend break or somewhere to party the night away."
Flights to Madrid will depart from Birmingham on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
