Staff from a Midland law firm have raised £1,400 for Myton Hospice in Warwick.
Solicitors from Leamington’s Blythe Liggins ran the Two Castles 10 km between the castles at Warwick and Kenilworth to raise the funds.
Blythe Liggins has been the main sponsor of the event for the last seven years and always enters a team of runners and provides marshals and a squad to run a water station. Joint senior partner Richard Thornton said: “This year our chosen charity is The Myton Hospices. We have a long association with Myton, where our head of employment law Richard Moon is a trustee, and we are delighted to be supporting them during their 30th anniversary.”
David Pratt, deputy director of fundraising at The Myton Hospices, said: “Since we opened in Warwick in September 1982 we have opened two more hospices, one in Rugby and the other in Coventry and have provided free-of-charge care for thousands of patients and their families.”
