Staff were yesterday finishing their final preparations at Le Petit Blanc as the new look brasserie prepared to open its doors today following a £400,000 refurbishment.

Among the alterations is the creation of a 33ft classic bar with customised pewter top that sweeps through a French bar setting with seating booths and leather stools.

The 35-strong team have this weekend qualified from an intensive staff training programme at Le Petit Blanc in Cheltenham.

Brindleyplace restaurant general manager Michael Acton said: "We want satisfied customers who will return time and again. We know we have selected a fantastic team, we just had to ensure their understanding of the menu both food and drink was second to none."
