A global company founded in Birmingham which provides hair loss treatment has hit £2 million turnover with 14 clinics worldwide.

Co founders Ian Watson and Ranbir Rai-Watson, both from Birmingham, began developing treatments in 2002 and opened their first HIS Hair Clinic in Harborne in 2006.

Mr Watson suffered from alopecia in his twenties following the death of his brother, who was married to Ranbir.

The company now specialises in scalp pigmentation, a non-surgical treatment which leaves the look of micro hairs to replicate real hair.

It now has seven clinics in the US, three in Europe, two in Asia and others in London and Manchester, with the aims to having 20 clinics by the end of 2013.

HIS is also developing a skincare range, as well as laser pigmentation removal.

Mr Watson said: “From a standing start six years ago, HIS Hair Clinic has developed into a highly successful global business.

“There has been unprecedented demand for Micro Hair Technique scalp pigmentation, which has been particularly popular due to its innovative nature as a non-surgical and permanent solution to men’s hair loss.

“We are thrilled to hit the £2 million mark and these results are testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team.”
