Birmingham businesses have held a range of yellow-themed events in a bid to raise £75,000 for a city children's charity.

To mark Big Yellow Friday, the national annual fundraising day for Birmingham based Children’s Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF), staff at a host of companies held fundraisers.

The Birmingham office of accountants Grant Thornton had a dress down day, while Birmingham solicitors Margetts and Ritchie held a Big Yellow coffee morning and a team from BNP Paribas Real Estate were one of 20 who took part in a quiz organised by Colmore Business District.

Kathryn Godfree, partner and corporate responsibility co-ordinator at Grant Thornton in Birmingham, said: “Grant Thornton is always happy to support locally-based charities where we can and we were delighted to take part in CLDF’s Big Yellow Friday fundraising initiative once again.”
