Staff from companies across Birmingham have raised £1,750 for a city homeless charity at a sporting fundraiser.

The second annual Birmingham Bolt at the National Indoor Arena (NIA) saw teams from companies including PwC, OCS and Norland take part in a range of events in aid of homeless charity St Basils.

Competitors took part in the long jump, high jump, 200m relays, sprints, javelin through and novelty competitions such as the 60m obstacle relay race, all hosted by former 400m World Champion Daniel Caines.

Organisers expect more money to come in from sponsorship and offers of match funding.
