Law firm Bevan Brittan is on the move.

It has signed a lease for 20,000 sq ft of offices in the heart of Birmingham's legal district. The move to Inter-change Place follows rapid growth in its Birmingham office. Currently located in Alpha Tower, the firm's 60-plus employees are expected to switch into the new Edmund Street premises by the end of the summer, where there will be the capacity to house up to 130 staff.

A steady stream of high profile new business wins including, most recently, Lyreco UK and Town & Country Inns, have led to the Birmingham office outgrowing its existing home. It has also embarked on a recruitment drive to support expansion in its real estate, licensing and health teams.

Birmingham office lead partner Sara Woffenden said: "The move to Interchange Place signals our growing presence in the West Midlands and demonstrates our commitment to Birmingham's thriving commercial sector. This is an exciting development for the firm and we are looking forward to settling into our new home."

Bevan Brittan - formerly the Bristol, Birmingham and London practice of Bevan Ashford - works across five sectors: built environment, health, government, insurance and finance and technology and manufacturing.

It has 68 partners and over 530 staff.
