Architects and engineering specialist Building Design Partnership (BDP) has opened an office in Birmingham's Colmore Row.
With a team already working on some of the region's most prestigious projects, such as the new QE 'Super-Hospital', BDP has already established itself in the city.
The firm's new Birmingham office has ambitious plans for growth, aiming to increase its staff to 40 by 2010 and to build its local credentials across its key sectors, including office development, retail, urbanism, education and residential.
Dan Smyth, managing director of BDP in Birmingham, said: "With offices across the UK in Belfast, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Sheffield and Southampton, it has been a long held ambition of BDP to open an office in the Midlands and Birmingham offers the ideal base.
"This is a city that has huge potential and has already begun the process that will see it regenerated as a European destination. BDP brings its national and international experience to assist in this transformation. It is great to work in a city on its way up."
