Big hearted staff at the Shirley branch of Barclays held a disco and raffle to raise around £3,000 for a Birmingham hospice.
Cashiers Sue Wall and Natasha Maidment organised the event in memory of Ms Wall’s brother David Bryan, who was cared for by St Mary’s Hospice last year.
The dance at the Moseley All Services Club raised around £1,500, which was match-funded by the bank.
Ms Wall said: “The hospice did a wonderful job caring for David, helping him to make the most out of life right up to the end.
“He was an avid Birmingham City supporter and they arranged for him to attend a Blues training day in his final week, which brought him much happiness.”
The money will fund at least 100 hours of care, covering support including nursing, dressings, drugs, physiotherapy and catering.
