Solihull-based Moneyway, part of Secure Trust Bank, has already raised £7,000 for St Richard’s Hospice in Worcester and has vowed to raise more this year.

Staff at the company took part in quiz nights, a coast to coast cycle challenge and also donated through payroll giving.

Joe Cooke, of Moneyway, said: “We have really enjoyed working with St Richard’s over the last 12 months and we are all pleased to be supporting such a worthwhile cause.”

“I look forward to a successful 2010 and sincerely hope we can exceed our 2009 donations total by some margin.

“St Richard’s was chosen specifically due to experiences of our members of staff and the knowledge of the excellent work that the hospice does. The father of one of our senior managers was treated in St Richard’s during 2008 and I know she found the support given during such a difficult time was first class. I also have experienced St Richard’s wonderful care last year when a close friend was treated there.”

St Richard’s Hospice fundraising manager Tricia Cavell said, “We are delighted with the donation raised by Moneyway staff. They have been very proactive and really got behind the charity of the year. It’s great news for us that they have chosen to support us again for 2010.”

St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
