Accountancy firm Baker Tilly is serving up a £1,000 sponsorship deal to support an ace Solihull tennis club.

Blossomfield, based on Widney Lane, will be using the funds to support its fast-growing junior section, helping train youngsters for the Warwickshire county teams.

Baker Tilly corporate finance partner Paul Johnson said: "This is a great opportunity for Blossomfield to boost the talents of its young players, subsidising their coaching as well as their travel to various competitive events.

"It will also help provide resources to all children, at whatever level, to take part in a game that is both healthy and fun to play. You never know, our next Wimbledon winner could be from the West Midlands!"

Blossomfield is a National Performance Club Centre where head coach Claire Williamson and coaches Matt Thomas, Steve Bell and Janice Ball operate on seven courts, including four that are floodlit.

It has junior teams playing at both county and national level plus numerous ladies' and men's teams in the Birmingham and Warwickshire leagues.
