Birmingham based PR and marketing consultancy Quantum Freshwater has unveiled a re-shuffle at the top - and new branding.

The Brindleyplace-based operation - which is part of the Freshwater UK group - has been been renamed Freshwater.

A year ago of Quantum PR was acquired by the Cardiff-based Freshwater operation and until now retained its Quantum name, which had a strong presence in the Midlands.

Changes have also been been made at the helm of the Birmingham operation.

Edward Carter has been appointed chairman from managing director, and Anne Parry has been appointed regional managing director, from deputy managing director.

Mr Carter has also been appointed as a director to the main board, as part of the group's plan to make Birmingham one of the key hubs of its regional network.

He is also the first boss from an acquired business to join the Freshwater UK board and the group's first executive director from outside Wales.

Chief executive of Freshwater Steve Howell, said: "The group recognises the experience and calibre of Edward and Anne and we are looking forward to building on the success of our Birmingham operation under the Freshwater name."

The Birmingham office is expanding its team to meet new business development in the Midlands and will be joined by two additional new recruits.

In addition to Birmingham, Freshwater has offices in Cardiff, Bristol, London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Southampton and Sheffield.
