A group of super-fit solicitors from Mills & Reeve has raised more than £15,000 for charity by completing a gruelling endurance triathlon.

Twenty-nine staff from the firm’s Birmingham, Norwich, Cambridge, Leeds and Manchester offices, along with eight other participants, took part in the charity challenge, which included climbing up and down Helvellyn, in the Lake District, canoeing 15km on Ullswater and a 30km on and off-road mountain bike ride all in one day.

All 37 participants completed the course, with the first teams crossing the finish line in under seven hours.

Richard Carroll, head of residential property at Mills & Reeve in Birmingham, said the event tested everyone to the limit.
“The fact that everyone completed the course was an enormous achievement in itself,” he said. “We try to do something testing every year in the Mills & Reeve Charity Challenge and this year’s was definitely one of the toughest.”

The money raised will go to EACH and Acorns, with a number of other charities also benefiting, including SOS, Cancer Research, Action Duchenne and St Nicholas Hospice.
