German airline Lufthansa is to start a new daily service between Birmingham and Berlin.
And to get it off to a flying start the airline is offering Birmingham passengers flights for just £39 one-way, £79 return, inclusive of all taxes and charges.
The launch of the service will coincide with the opening of the new Berlin-Brandenburg Willy Brandt Airport next June.
Karsten Benz, Lufthansa vice president sales and services Europe, said: “The addition of direct flights to Berlin reaffirms the importance of Birmingham within the Lufthansa network.
“The opening of the new Berlin-Brandenburg ‘Willy Brandt’ Airport next year provides new opportunities for Lufthansa to increase its offering to Birmingham passengers.”
As well as catering for leisure travellers the airline will offer business class fares from £289 one-way, £579 return.
