Property consultancy Donaldsons has built Birmingham's largest finance and administration team following a sustained period of growth and investment.
Starting in Birmingham in 2002 with 20 people, the firm's client finance and administration (CFA) team is now 58 strong and headed up by newly-promoted director Sarah Cruxton. Mrs Cruxton is supported by head of operations Mike Stilwell, who recently joined the firm from St Gobain, and new senior manager John Parkin.
"The growth in the CFA team mirrors the success of Donaldsons asset management business," said Mrs Cruxton. "It is recognised as the top adviser in the retail sector, managing a portfolio valued at #10 billion of more than 100 shopping centres, retail warehouses and leisure schemes across the UK, including the Bullring. It also acts for some of the country's largest occupiers on the high street such as WH Smith and Barclays.
The Donaldsons client finance team is wellknown in the sector for its credit control discipline, with the firm responsible for collecting approximately #400 million in rent each year.
Mrs Cruxton added: "The spotlight is generally on the more glamorous side of property management and development, but from a client's point of view their top priority is that rent collection or supplier payments are reliably taken care of, month in, month out."
Donaldsons in Birmingham is the firm's biggest office outside London.
