An energy saving solutions specialist has created 30 jobs in the Black Country.
Mark Group, which installs insulation and solar panels for homes and businesses, is seeking around 30 Home Performance Assessors (HPA) and managers to carry out energy efficiency assessments at properties around the Midlands.
The roles will be based at the company’s distribution centre at 1 Wharfside in Oldbury.
The move comes in response to increased demand for home energy assessments under the Government’s Energy Company Obligation scheme and in preparation for the company’s move into Green Deal assessments later this year.
It will see Mark Group extending its nationwide pool of HPAs and Green Deal assessors to 600 by the end of the year, making it one of the biggest teams of household energy efficiency assessors in the UK.
Stephen Lamb, UK chief executive officer of Mark Group, said: “We have enjoyed a period of steady growth in recent years thanks to the unique relationships we enjoy with utility companies and retailers.
“These new recruits will help us grow our existing offer in the area through these channels and ensure we are fully prepared for the launch of our Green Deal assessment service later in the year.”
Mark Insulations was founded in Leicester in 1974.
The company now operates from more than 30 distribution centres worldwide, employs around 2,500 personnel and does around 7,000 UK installations at homes, schools and companies every week.
