Plans have been unveiled for a £10 million commercial property development in Nuneaton.

Smart Developments ( Midlands), a Nuneaton-based company, is planning to develop the first phase of Century Park off Tuttle Hill in Nuneaton, creating 100,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse buildings which could attract 200 jobs to the town.

The nine acre site, between the Pool Road industrial estate and Tuttle Hill, has outline planning consent and work is expected to begin later this year with completion at the end of 2007.

There is also consent of live/work units and office development on other parts of the site.

The Century Park scheme has attracted ERDF funding through Advantage West Midlands and Warwickshire County Council.

The units will be available through joint agents Evans Hardy Bromwich of Leamington Spa and Loveitts of Coventry for sale or on a leasehold basis.

The exact number of buildings will depend on occupiers' needs but will range upwards from 5,000 sq ft and a new road opening up the site and linking Tuttle Hill and the Pool Road industrial estate is being installed.

The units, of a portal frame construction, will have an eaves height of up to ten metres and roller shutter doors. They will include office accommodation and car parking.

Scott Blake, of Evans Hardy Bromwich, said the agents had already received considerable genuine interest.

"This is a very well located development, just half-a-mile out of Nuneaton town centre and five miles from junction three of the M6," he added.

"The whole scheme has been carefully designed with occupiers needs' as the driving force and we are sure they will prove very popular."

James Hunt of Allied Irish Bank (GB), Coventry said: "We are delighted to be involved in such a ground-breaking new development. The business it will bring, and the jobs it will create, are sure to benefit Nuneaton."
