The New Inn in Harborne is no longer under the management of the Bitter N Twisted group.

The group who run several popular eateries in the city, have chosen not to renew their lease on the pub. Marston's pub group who own the pub have taken over the management and the staff employed under Bitters N Twisted remains the same.

Matt Scriven, the owner of Bitters N Twisted said: "Although I never really achieved my vision for The New Inn due to various factors, I very much enjoyed the opportunity to create a bit of gastro pleasure in Harborne.

"Ultimately myself and Marston's the landlord could not agree on a suitable rent going forward so I felt I had no choice but to step away from The New Inn. I wish the venue under Marston's guidance the best of luck for the future"

The New Inn on Vivian Road is one of the oldest pubs - dating back to 1845, and was also home to the Birmingham's oldest bowling clubs until 2013 when Bitters N Twisted took over the lease. Since then it has become a well loved g astro pub with amazing outdoor seating on either side of the historic building.

Bitters N Twisted group continue to manage other their other venues in Birmingham - The Rose Villa Tavern, The Jekyll & Hyde, The Victoria , The Island Bar and Bodega Cantina, Marmalade and Buffalo & Rye.
