The professional line-up for this year’s Farmfoods British Par 3 Championship at Nailcote Hall is shaping up to be the strongest and one of the most diverse yet in the event’s 83 year history.

The three day Championship on July 26 to 29 will be hosted by two time major winner, Hall of Fame member and the most successful European Ryder Cup captain of all time, Tony Jacklin CBE.

It is also welcoming Ryder Cup players Peter Baker, Phillip Price, Paul Broadhurst, Edoardo Molinari and David Gilford.

The event further includes Open winner Paul Lawrie, Masters champions Ian Woosnam, US Open winner Michael Campbell, Sky Sports presenter Nick Dougherty, defending champions Barry Lane, and the most decorated amateur of all time Gary Wolstenholme MBE.

They will be in the company of a variety of other European Tour professionals such as Simon Dyson, Robert Rock, Gary Boyd, Daniel Brooks and Justin Walters.

To complement the stellar professional line-up his year’s Professional-Amateur tournament, on July 27 to 29 is breaking with tradition and welcoming two extra players – following a 20 per cent increase in the prize fund.

These include five qualifiers from Midland-based The Eagle Tour, have provided scoring and administration support for the tournament for the last two years.

The Eagle Tour held a qualification event for the Championship on 6th June for 81 players.

Those who qualified to play at Nailcote Hall from July 27 are Raymond Russell, Robert Aldred, Simon Lilly, Jason Timmis and the qualifier winner Daanyal Spalding.
