Perry Barr is probably the safest Labour seat in Birmingham according to the bookies.
Khalid Mahmood improved his share of the vote in 2010, securing 47 per cent, and is 100/1 on with Ladbrokes to remain in the seat after the 2015 General Election.
The Conservatives are considered his closest opposition at 25/1, but it will be an uphill task for Tory Charlotte Hodivala.
Perry Barr has been held by Labour since 1950 for all but two terms before the 1970s. Mr Mahmood has held the seat since 2001.
