A 1964 motor with an incredible Hollywood history is up for sale on automotive website PistonHeads.

Once belonging to ‘Die Hard’ star Bruce Willis and ‘Toy Story’ voice legend Tim Allen, this Ford Galaxie restored racer is priced at £39,000.

The car has an even more interesting track record as it was entered into the Masters race at Silverstone Classic in 2014.

With its tangerine orange paint, black stripe and American racing mag wheels this racer is ‘not for the faint hearted or shy retiring types’ the seller claims.

It was converted to race car spec in 2014 and underwent bare metal restoration in 2000 but the car is fully functioning and eligible for other car series such as Goodwood.

The seller jokes the 351 engine motor should be ‘driven mostly sideways shouting “yee har” simultaneously’ as it does not look far off the famous Starsky & Hutch vehicle.

Described as a ‘bargain’ you could be included in the long and interesting history of this car, from Hollywood stars to its own racing fame.
