A limited run of new Fiesta ST, Focus ST, Focus RS and Mustang special editions has been launched by Ford to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the manufacturer’s one-two-three finish at the 1966 Le Mans 24 Hours.

Just 50 examples each of the unique cars will be available, and only in France. They will wear a special livery of Black Mica and grey racing stripes, inspired by that of the GT40 racer driven to victory by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon. This will be complemented by exclusive 50th Anniversary rear badges at the rear and a unique cabin plaque.

Spec-wise, the Focus RS and ST get rear parking sensors and an active city stop system as standard, part of the usually optional City Pack. The Focus RS also gains the Comfort Pack Premium Pack, with cruise control, range-topping stereo, speed limiter and keyless entry, and the ST gets the Style Pack’s 18in wheels and red brake calipers.

Meanwhile, the 50th Anniversary Fiesta ST comes with the Performance and Parking Packs, bringing 17in alloys, red calipers and parking aids. And the commemorative Mustang GT V8 has the Premium Pack, with 19in wheels and satellite navigation.

The Le Mans special editions carry a slight price premium over their standard stablemates. The line-up kicks off with the Fiesta ST at about £20,500 and rises to the Mustang at about £37,500. Buyers also get the chance to win free VIP access to this year’s Le Mans race.
