1. My car:
1970 Fiat 500
2. Why I bought it:
It had been restored by my local Fiat dealer as a static showroom display to coincide with the launch of the new Fiat 500 in 2007. I went to the garage with a friend who was thinking about buying the new car. He didn't go for it but I came out with the old car. The bodywork was perfect but it hadn't been mechanically restored. I'd always liked these cars and it seemed like an interesting project.
3. Best feature:
Smiles and waves from other motorists.
4. Worst feature:
Speed. Or complete lack of it.
5. First car:
1978 Land Rover
6. Best car:
My current Nissan Leaf. Boring I know, but as a daily drive it's perfect for my needs.
7. Worst car:
Alfa Romero 166. Wonderful in many ways but utterly terrible in most. I'd have another tomorrow.
8. Best drive:
In this car, the best drives are the short ones. The furthest I've dared is from Newcastle to Edinburgh and the roads in between are great.
9. Worst drive:
In this car, a recent minor engine bay fire whist on the way to the garage added unnecessary 'excitement' to the trip! Thankfully a friend in the car behind spotted it and was able to let me know between laughing and bravely posting it on Facebook.
10. Dream car:
