One of the best-known businesswomen in Birmingham has had a change of career... for a day at least.

Nicola Fleet-Milne, the founder of city letting agency FleetMilne Property, became guest editor of the Birmingham Post for a day this week after winning the opportunity in a charity auction.

Ms Fleet-Milne, who previously chaired professional services group BPS Birmingham Future, sat in on news conferences, toured the Post's Fort Dunlop offices and visited the BPM Media press site.

This came after her £300 bid secured the prize at a charity dinner in the city last November.

The event, called Called Life In The Fast Lane, took place at Opus on Cornwall Street and raised almost £20,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and the British Heart Foundation.
