Birmingham’s former Gatecrasher club is to be re-opened this summer.
New owners Deltic said it was spending £1.4 million on the Broad Street nightspot and launching it as PRYZM club.
The club will be transformed into a multi-room venue with luxury VIP booths, table service and bespoke bar experiences.
The Deltic Group is currently the UK’s largest bar and club operator and has other PRYZM clubs in Brighton, Cardiff, Bristol, Leeds and Kingston-upon-Thames with a total of 58 bars and clubs across the country.
Birmingham’s former superclub Gatecrasher lost its licence after a string of violent incidents in 2015.
Commenting on the announcement, which will be Deltic’s first venue in the city, chief executive Peter Marks said: “We have been keen to have a presence in Birmingham for some time now and are delighted to have acquired this landmark site.
"We are extremely excited to bring PRYZM to the city, which will offer a fantastic clubbing experience with outstanding levels of customer service and headline acts from around the world.”
