The multi-award winning Chutney Express has added another jewel to its crown.

Its latest win came at the English Curry Awards where it beat off stiff competition to be named Best Takeaway in the West Midlands.

And if that wasn't enough, the Indian takeaway also received the industry seal of approval this month when it grabbed a finalist spot at the 12th annual British Curry Awards.

The prestigious awards, also known as the Curry Oscars, are one of the most important in the food industry and had the likes of Alistair McGowan, Sarah Ferguson and Heston Blumenthal in attendance.

Throughout the year, Chutney Express, based in Castle Bromwich, has been scooping up gongs at prestigious ceremonies around the country.

It was voted the Best Local Curry House in Birmingham in the Mail’s King of Curry Awards.

The popular takeaway has made its mark and seen great success, despite only opening in 2013.

He said: “Our chefs offer a taste experience beyond the ordinary with our food.

“All food is freshly prepared using only the finest ingredients, all expertly blended with exquisite aromatic herbs and spices.
