New pictures taken today give a glimpse inside the foyer of the redeveloped New Street station with less than a year before the multimillion-pound project is finished.

Post reporter Neil Elkes has been taken inside the foyer underneath the building's new atrium to get a glimpse of how it will look once the station fully re-opens and the Grand Central shopping centre and John Lewis is complete.

The shots, in the gallery above, show views of the new roof, and how the large foyer looks as engineers and construction workers continue striving to have the project completed ahead of the grand unveiling next September.

The shopping centre will feature more than 60 retailers and restaurants including Handmade Burger Company, Cath Kidston, TM Lewin and many more.
