A company which designs and manufacturers gas analysing equipment has moved to a new home to cope with increased demand for its products.

AG Instruments, which began in the spare room of founder Dr Hany Agaiby four years ago, has moved to a new headquarters at Stoneleigh Park, in Warwickshire.

Dr Agaiby spent two years developing the concept and design for his analysers which can be used in a wide range of industry sectors and are now selling globally.

The equipment, which operates using infrared absorption technology, can detect and analyse up to 15 gases simultaneously out of a library of 500 to an accuracy of parts per million.

Dr Agaiby said: "We currently sell through a distributor which has very strong links into the power industry and that is the sector we are concentrating on at the moment.

"At present, our equipment is being used in over 25 countries including the USA, China, Mexico and Nigeria.

"We simply needed more space as the company grows to be able to accommodate all of our activities which include the assembly, calibration and testing as well as our sales and marketing operation which we are currently building.

"Our new headquarters allows us to do all those things and will allow us to expand as and when we need to."

Dr Agaiby developed his product after taking voluntary redundancy in 2009 and was chosen by local MP Chris White to represent his constituency at a national exhibition called 'Made by Britain'.

Colin Hooper, estates director of Stoneleigh Park, said: "AG Instruments is a growing science and technology company and therefore just the sort we want to attract to Stoneleigh Park.

"Hopefully, as well as providing the company with suitable premises, we can also help its growth through linkages with other tenants here on the park and also through us being part of the Business Environments for Science and Technology Network."
