An engineering consultancy has relocated its headquarters to the Calthorpe Estate in Edgbaston following a period of sustained growth.

SVM Associates has been trading for 10 years and specialises in consultancy work in the vertical transportation, mechanical and electrical and facilities management sectors whose client include Google, Cadburys and Houses of Parliament.

The 20-strong company was previously based in Edgbaston House, Five Ways.

Director Richard Wilmot said: "This is a very exciting time for everyone at SVM Associates.

"Relocating to this period building with its modern working environment is an important step in our plans, with the new office providing the space and facilities to support our growth strategy".

Fellow director John Newbold added: "The new office cements our commitment to operating a national operation from the heart of the UK.

"Birmingham and Edgbaston in particular is an ideal location for its transport links and access to a skilled workforce".
