Technology sector specialist Frances Anderson has joined the commercial team at Veale Wasbrough Vizards (VWV) as a consultant solicitor.

Based in the VWV Birmingham office, Ms Anderson joins from DWF, where she was a commercial partner specialising in technology, intellectual property and the creative industries.

VWV said with a mixed practice including charities, international manufacturers, technology companies and public bodies, Ms Anderson’s appointment represented a “perfect fit” for the firm.

Ms Anderson said: “I am very pleased to be joining Veale Wasbrough Vizards, an incredibly friendly and highly professional firm of lawyers with a venerable past and a great future ahead of them. Their strengths in the fields of technology, charity governance and education make them a natural home for me.”

Ms Anderson’s experience includes cloud computing, agile system development, digital distribution, systems procurement and privacy law issues.

VWV managing partner Simon Heald said: “Frances will not only be a valued addition to our commercial team, but her specialist expertise in the technology sector and creative industries will complement the firm’s strategic growth plans in these areas.”
