The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) is holding a surgery at its Birmingham offices in The Cube for those wanting to know more about its new approach to continuing competence.

The surgery will provide the opportunity for solicitors to talk to SRA staff one-to-one about its new approach to continuing competence and what they can do to implement it.

An SRA spokesman said: “Many firms have already chosen to adopt our new approach before it becomes mandatory on November 1, 2016.

“The surgery will help individuals and firms alike with moving to our new approach, ready for the upcoming CPD year, providing the ability and flexibility to determine their own learning and development needs.”

This surgery will cover the benefits of adopting the SRA’s new approach, how solicitors can meet new requirements, a demonstration of the SRA’s online tool kit and information on the annual declaration process.

Places are limited and booking attendance in advance is recommended.
