QualitySolicitors Talbots is targeting growth in the residential and commercial property market after appointing two solicitors.

The law firm, which hit a record £7.5 million turnover in 2014, has signed-up sister-in-laws Jagdeep Kitaure-Kandola and Lucky Mahal to boost a division of the business that saw a 15 per cent rise in transactions in the last year.

The duo have a combined 20 years’ experience working across the West Midlands property scene.

They will form part of a 15-strong team responsible for working with residential buyers and sellers, SMEs, landlords and a number of multi-national firms with interests throughout the UK.

Martyn Morgan, director at QualitySolicitors Talbots, said: “There is definitely a feeling of cautious optimism in both commercial and residential property with a slowly recovering economy triggering movement across both markets.

“Last year was very good for us and our ability to offer personal service and innovative solutions to client requirements saw us grow considerably and we needed to strengthen the team with dynamic, new young talent.”

QualitySolicitors Talbots has seven offices in Codsall, Dudley, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Stourbridge, Stourport and Wolverhampton.

Ms Mahal will be responsible for increasing QualitySolicitors Talbots’ presence in residential property.

She has experience in dealing with landlord/tenant agreements and in the acquisition and sale of residential properties both privately and through auctions.

Ms Kitaure-Kandola’s focus will be on the commercial property sector, working on a caseload that ranges from owner-managed businesses and SMEs to landlords with multiple properties and PLCs.

Mr Morgan added: “Lucky and Jagdeep are well respected solicitors, share a passion for the Black Country and the West Midlands and have worked for firms that have also been part of the QualitySolicitors brand.

“They will bring a fresh approach to our company and have proven in their previous roles that they can deliver positive results for clients both large and small.

“With the pipeline of work we can see going into 2015, not to mention the expected increase in market activity, I’d expect our property division to grow by over £1.5 million this year.”
