Law firm Trowers & Hamlins has appointed a new partner in its Birmingham office.

David Marsden, previously head of property litigation in the Cheltenham office of Charles Russell, has joined the Colmore Row firm as a partner in the property litigation team.

Mr Marsden advises investors, landlords, public sector bodies and occupiers on a broad range of complex property law including right to light, dilapidation, property insolvency, lease renewals and forfeiture.

Partner Michael Donellan said: "This latest appointment sees a highly experienced property litigator join our fast growing dispute resolution and litigation team in Birmingham.

"David is a well-respected lawyer with an enviable track record of success and I am very much looking forward to his contribution at Trowers & Hamlins, particularly for our high-profile and most complex cases."

Mr Marsden added: "Property litigation is needed throughout the economic cycle.

"Helping clients to navigate what can be complicated areas of law has always been my passion.

"It is a privilege to be joining such a strong team not only in the West Midlands but also across the global offices."
