Solihull-based specialist law firm Meridian Private Client has recruited a practice manager from Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co.

Karen Palmer brings more than 30 years of experience as a personal assistant, of which 15 years were spent in the legal sector as a senior personal assistant at Wragge & Co.

Meridian Private Client partner Philip Harrison said: "Karen's appointment will help us to build our business by providing specialist management and support resources and skills to back our expansion.

"Karen's background has provided her with an abundance of experience upon which to draw in order to support the partners in both the everyday running and the development of the practice."

Ms Palmer's appointment follows on from two high profile appointments at Meridian.

Peter Gate, an experienced private client lawyer, recently joined from a London law firm, while Jon Croxford, a tax planning specialist, joined in June and is set to become a partner at Meridian as soon as formalities can be completed.

Meridian Private Client, which is based in Little Packington, advises on estate planning, long-term tax planning, wills and trusts and legal disputes involving both wills and trusts.
