Solihull-based HCB Group has opened its 21st office after joining forces with a firm of Evesham solicitors.

Atter Mackenzie, a 29-year-old well-established legal firm, will be the 11th independent business to come under the HCB umbrella.

HCB already has offices in the same area at Redditch, Alcester and Stratford upon Avon, complementing its spread from the North-west, through the East and West Midlands through to London and the South-east.

The six solicitors at the Evesham firm have particular experience in family and commercial law and HCB sees this as a means to strengthening its brand and client base in the area.

Peter Jackson of Atter Mackenzie, said: “Joining with HCB is a clear indication that we wish the firm to move forward and become part of a large pool of experience on all aspects of law, both private and commercial.

“Our current client base can be assured that their affairs will have even more expertise to call on and this move will provide an attractive one-stop solution for new clients who are looking for a company that can provide legal and financial guidance.”

HCB is the only legal group that has a chartered accountancy in its fold after merging with HCB Solicitors & Accountants in Stratford upon Avon.

Mike Gahan, chief executive of HCB, said: “Atter Mackenzie is the 11th company which HCB has brought under its umbrella and it is just as important to our portfolio as the other 10.

“Their experience will build our platform in the Worcestershire area and provide their clients with a unique offering of legal and financial strength provided by respected professionals in their field.”
