Law firm Clarke Willmott celebrated a decade of being in business in Birmingham at a special event at Hotel du Vin.

Staff from the firm, which has its Midland office in the heart of the Colmore business district in Edmund Street, were joined by referrers and clients for the celebration.

Since its establishment in the city in 2005 the firm has grown, absorbing part of the former regional law firm Challinors in 2013 and taking on three new partners in the personal injury, family and commercial and private client litigation teams.

Another highlight was closing the Project Abraham deal in 2010, the largest private company transaction in the firm’s history.

Jonathan Morton, head of Clarke Willmott’s Birmingham office said: “The event was a success, with around 120 people attending.

“Our anniversary represents a considerable milestone and reinforces our position as a key leader in the legal sector.

“Despite the recession in 2008, our office has been able to prosper in a difficult economic landscape.

“We have grown our teams and expanded our services to encompass more sectors including family law, property and private client.”

Clarke Willmott has seven offices nationally and more than 85 partners. It employs over 500 staff across its offices in Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Southampton and Taunton.
