Law firm Pinsent Masons is celebrating Angela Cooling’s 50th anniversary with the firm.
Ms Cooling, a reception team leader for Pinsent Masons’ Birmingham office, joined Pinsent & Co in Spring 1965 as an office junior on £4 a week.
At the time the firm was based in a small office on Bennetts Hill and had just five partners.
Now an international law firm with a global reach it employs more than 2,500 staff.
The firm has eight UK and 10 overseas offices - plus two more that are set to open soon in Australia - with a turnover in excess of £330 million.
Pinsent Masons’ Birmingham head of office Greg Lowson said: “Angela is currently Pinsent Masons’ longest serving employee.
“Fifty years is a fantastic achievement and we’d like to thank her for her hard work and dedication to the firm.”
Ms Cooling said: “I never thought I would still be here after 50 years.
“I have seen a number of changes over the years.
“Fifty years on and it is still not the end of the story as I still really enjoy working for Pinsent Masons.”
