Wesleyan has appointed Vicki Wentworth to be its chief customer and strategy officer - a new executive management position reporting to group chief executive Craig Errington.

Ms Wentworth comes to Wesleyan from LV= - where she was brand and marketing director.

In her new role at the mutual financial services provider, she will oversee the company’s growth strategy, with responsibility for marketing, business planning and HR, as the company aims to increase its presence in its target markets of doctors, dentists, lawyers and teachers.

Mr Errington said: “Wesleyan has ambitious growth plans for the years ahead, with the aim of making us the provider of choice in our specialist markets.

“We need to build on our past successes and existing strategy to enable us to take advantage of the opportunities that lie ahead.

“Vicki’s experience will prove invaluable to us as we look to develop our offering to customers, build up our online and digital presence and increase our market share.”

Ms Wentworth added: “Wesleyan has a long history of success and I am excited to be joining as the company embarks on the next stage of its journey.

“The business has a compelling vision and a clear strategy and I am looking forward to helping drive those plans to fruition.

“The Wesleyan culture is certainly something that attracted me. I am keen to build on the strong company ethos and values.

“The business has a great reputation for harnessing talent and it has a wealth of insight into its target markets.

“Both of these elements will enable us to drive truly meaningful customer engagement.”

Before embarking on a career in financial services, Ms Wentworth spent ten years as an officer in the British Army after graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

She then joined Aviva, working in a number of positions over nine years, rising to become director of global customer strategy, before moving to LV=.
